“Heather Forest, PhD, is an award-winning storyteller, author, and musician. A pioneer in the American storytelling renaissance – she has appeared in theatres, schools, conferences, and major storytelling festivals throughout the United States and abroad since 1975. Her fusion of original music, poetry, and the sung and spoken word brings multicultural folktales to life in the imagination of her listeners. Her folktale books and recordings have won numerous awards including the American Library Association’s Notable Recording Award and several Parents’ Choice Gold Awards. Her worldwide performances include The Smithsonian Institute, The Museum of Modern Art, the Sidmouth International Folk Festival (England), and the Glistening Waters Storytelling Festival (New Zealand).
